EXPERT Acoustic Gramophones

EXPERT Handmade Gramophones from 1930 to 1940's.

Most of EXPERT’s acoustic gramophones were made available in 1930 and remained basically unchanged throughout their production. These are: The Senior, The Junior, The Minor and in 1932 the two variants of The Minor, The Cadet and Ensign. The granddaddy of them all was The EXPERT All Range Horn with a diameter of 36". Ginn also offered to make any diameter up to 54". Though rumoured, its existence is still to be verified.

From The Gramophone, August 1935. "Mr Ginn kindly had built for me the bell portion of his Expert Senior horn with the flare extended to a mouth diameter of 4 ft. 3 ins., and this was set up in a wooden framework with a baffle 5 ft. square"
