The Standard Mk VIII was the first Wilson Horn Model designed by Balfour Davey. He introduced a conduit inside the cabinet which connected the Seymour tonearm to the Wilson horn. Not only did it extend the overall acoustic length but also balanced it.
E.M.G for the first time could now offer a truly exponential system based on solid scientific principles. The sound was astounding.
